The Adventures of A Christmas Elf

One of the Christmas traditions I have with my son is the Christmas Elf. It has been a constantly evolving one that has hit its peak this year. A few times a week the Christmas Elf comes into our house and leaves us something to let us know he was here, checking up on us for Santa.

The first night the Christmas Elf put a Gingerbread decoration on the living room wall. Another night he hung garland all around the living room. Yet another time he baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies. (He must have had a lot of free time that night.) Boy Beast has such a great time hunting around for the things the Christmas Elf has done. Sometimes he does mischievous things such as hiding the remote or making messes. The Christmas Elf actually gets blamed for quite a lot by the Boy Beast.

I've found that the visits from the Christmas Elf really help draw out the magic and fun of Christmas. It also helps us get in the Christmas spirit. We try to "catch" him a lot but he is a rather quick, sly little elf. Still, he always lets us know when he's been checking up on us!
